Student Council

Abbey Park School is proud of its Student Council and that work it does to ensure that the student body is represented democratically. It enables student concerns to be raised in a formal capacity and promotes well-being within the student body by providing age appropriate representatives. One of the functions of the student council is to represent the student body at formal events and another is to encourage participation within the school community.

Students connecting with our local community is very important to us. Here are just a few examples of current projects: a buddy reader programme with Red Oaks, students taking part in the Swindon Lions Youth Leader programme, Swindon Food Collective donations, fundraising during the summer term, transition workshops with Year 6 at feeder Primary Schools and participation in the Eco-Schools club.
